Dr. Miriam Klein Kassenoff

Miriam Klein Kassenoff fled Nazi Europe in 1940-1941 with her family when she was a small child.

Dr. Kassenoff has studied at Yad Vashem in Israel.

She is the co-author of the book "Memories of the Night: A Study of the Holocaust" and has co-authored a study guide on Holocaust Studies for Grolier Encyclopedia.

Miriam is the Chair of Education at the Holocaust Memorial in Miami Beach, Florida, and is a graduate of the Vladka Meed Teacher's Program. She is responsible in the Miami Dade Public Schools for all staff development / teacher training on “Teaching the Holocaust: Elementary through High School” and is an appointee to the Florida Governor's Task Force on Holocaust Education.

Her thesis for her doctoral work specifically addresses the topic of "Lessons of the Holocaust for a Multicultural Society".
