ITINERARY
Buffet breakfast (included) each morning at all hotels

Day 1

Depart Cincinnati, Ohio for Paris, France via Air France Airlines (coach class). Dinner and breakfast served aboard flight.

Day 2

Arrive at Paris's Charles De Gaulle airport. Enjoy Paris city tour by private coach, including Sacre Coeur Church, Arc de Triomphe, Eiffel Tower, Dome des lnvalides and Notre Dame. Check in at hotel located in artist and night life center, Montmartre. Afternoon at leisure. Welcome group dinner this evening.

Day 3

Paris at leisure. Optional tours, including Versailles, available.

Day 4

Tour of Holocaust sites in Paris area. Afternoon coach to Amsterdam, The Netherlands. Check in at hotel in heart of Amsterdam. Group dinner and evening program.

Day 5

Morning visit to Anne Frank House, followed by canal cruise. Afternoon and evening at leisure.

Day 6

Departure for Camp Westerbork, deportation camp for majority of Dutch Jews, and others, during the Holocaust, see documentary film, visit the museum, memorials and camp grounds. Then depart for Celle, Germany. Evening group dinner in Celle.

Day 7

Morning at leisure in quaint Celle, Germany. Afternoon departure for Bergen-Belsen concentration camp where Anne Frank perished. Documentary film en route, then visit the museum, cemetery and remnants of camp grounds. Then depart for Berlin. Germany where we enjoy a group dinner and evening program at our in city hotel (near Kurfuerstendamm).

Day 8

Morning tour of Wannsee Conference Center, then a Berlin city tour, including Reichstag, Brandenburg Gate, Checkpoint Charlie, Rosenstrasse memorial and the restored Synagogue. Afternoon and evening at leisure with optional walking tours available.

Day 9

Depart for Dresden, Germany where we will have a guided visit of the Opera Square and other historical sites. Then depart for Terezin (Theresienstadt), Czech Republic with on board documentary film. Guided visit of Terezin ghetto and fortress. Then leave for Prague for group dinner and evening program. Hotel in city center.

Day 10

Morning tour of Lidice, a Catholic village, the site of mass murder in retaliation for the assassination of Heydrich. Documentary film on board coach. Then return to Prague for walking tour of Hradcany Castle, Karlsbridge and Clock Tower Square. Afternoon available for optional tours such as the Jewish Quarter, Franz Kafka and Prague, Musical Prague, or Mystical Prague.

Day 11

Optional morning tour of Radio Free Europe facilities followed by leisure day and evening to explore the historical and cultural aspects of Prague.

Day l2

Depart for Austria to visit the Mauthausen concentration camp and memorials. Documentary film on board coach. Then on to Salzburg, Austria for group dinner and program.

Day 13

Morning guided walking tour of Salzburg followed by a day of leisure and reflection.

Day 14

Transfer to Munich airport with documentary film en route. Air France flight to USA.

Tour 2002 Highlights
RATE: $2,600.00 per person, double occupancy. Single room available at an additional 30% - only $3,380.00

DEPOSIT: $150.00 nonrefundable deposit with reservation. FULL PAYMENT BY APRIL 1, 2002.

Escorted 14 day visit to five countries, nine Holocaust sites and three national capitals.

Tour Leaders / Organizers

ELLEN FEJTNER, has been involved in Holocaust education over 25 years, including work as a curriculum advisor for the Holocaust and Resistance Fellowship program in Poland and Israel. She received the Distinguished Teacher Award from the Cincinnati Public Schools, a Community Service Award from the National Conference of Christians and Jews, the 1998 Spirit of Anne Frank Award from the Anne Frank Center USA and since 1986 has served on the Ohio Council for Holocaust Education. Ellen has arranged tours for groups throughout Europe and the Middle East and for the fourth year she has organized, along with Cor Suijk, this trip to promote information and inspiration about the historic sites to be visited.

COR SUIJK is International Director Emeritus of the Anne Frank Center, CEO Emeritus of the Anne Frank House, Amsterdam, The Netherlands and currently the presidenti of the Contemporary Holocaust Education Foundation. He s renowned for his efforts to bring the Anne Frank in the World exhibit throughout the world. A Dutch Christian, who helped Jews during World War II, he is a survivor of imprisonment by the Germans. In 1965 he was hired by Otto Frank, the father of Anne Frank, and as a result of their friendship, Cor was given, for safe keeping, the five pages of Anne Frank's diary, recently being published for the first time. For over 30 years Cor has traveled extensively throughout the United States, the Far East and Europe. A fluent speaker in several languages, he is familiar with the countries on this trip and their history. Cor will be with the group throughout Europe.

PEOPLE WHO PREVIOUSLY MET WITH THE HISTORIC SITES TOUR
This is the fifth year of the HISTORIC SITES TOUR and first to include Paris, France. In previous years our group has met with the following persons. We hope to meet with them, again, in 2002. Naturally, all visits are subject to their health and schedule.

MIEP GIES, sole surviving person who supplied the hiding occupants of the attic at the "Anne Frank House" with food and supplies. The woman who retrieved the "Diary of Anne Frank" for posterity!

JACQUELINE VAN MAARSEN, school age friend of Anne Frank, "Jopie" in the "Diary of Anne Frank".

RUUD SANDERS, Jacqueline Van Maarsen's husband, and a hidden child during the Holocaust.

MELISSA MULLER, author of "Anne Frank, The Biography".

HANNAH GREENFIELD, survivor of Terezin (Theresienstadt), an author and lecturer.

MURRAY GREENFIELD, Hannah's husband, an American who was a member of the crew of a ship similar to the "Exodus", now an author living in Israel.

DR. MICHAEL HEINZMANN, a German Christian, is a professor of Judaic Studies at the University of Munich.
Tours of all major cities are conducted be knowledgeable English speaking local guides
