This tape follows groups of German gypsies as they return to Auschwitz and come to terms with the horrors of their past. Through moving personal accounts, we learn of the "Gypsy Police," the Institute for Racial Hygiene, and the doctor responsible for genealogical research that led to their imprisonment and liquidation. Many of the Sinti and Roma in this documentary reveal the discrimination they still experience.
