These photos show the youngest children at the Orphanage with their teachers. Regina and Jenny Eisenstein recognize their paternal aunt, Sarah Oksenhendler, the blonde teacher in the center. Regina recalls: |

Teaching these children was the most important thing in Sarah's life. She was a self initiator, a bookworm, always trying to improve herself She was not married yet, and the little children at the orphanage were her whole life then. Look how happy she looks. Look how beautiful these children are. |

Sarah survived the war, but had a very hard life. She went to Israel after the war, married, and had three children. Two were very sick with polio for many years. It was a hard life. |
