The family was deeply religious and deeply committed to one another.

Malach family, in the back courtyard of Modrzejoska 56, Bendin 1937. At center is grandmother Malka Rachel Malach, holding her grandson. Parents Sarah Ruda and Yitzhak Mordecai Malach sit at her side.

The sons worked in the Malach family business. In addition, Zishe served in the Polish army and Velvel was an avid and talented musician.

We see rare photos of Sara Ruda Malach in her kitchen, and at work in the hospital. The rarest of all are the tender photos taken of Sara Ruda with her newborn, Abraham, shortly after being delivered by Dr. Taransczewski, the renowned obstetrician.
